Looking for a Mothers Day assembly? This PowerPoint introduces pupils to the meaning and traditions of Mother’s Day, also known as Mothering Sunday. It explains that the day is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent and has historical roots in visiting the “mother church,” as well as the tradition of young servants being allowed home once a year with flowers and Simnel Cake for their families.
