Looking for a Platinum Jubilee assembly? This PowerPoint celebrates Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, giving pupils an overview of her early life, her unexpected path to the throne, and her 70 years of dedicated service. It covers key events from her childhood, education and wartime work, through her marriage, accession and coronation, and explains her major roles as Head of State, the Nation, the Commonwealth, the Church of England, the Armed Forces, and her constitutional and charitable responsibilities. The assembly also explores what a Jubilee is, why the Platinum Jubilee is especially significant, and how previous monarchs have celebrated milestones through processions, services, feasts and public parties. It encourages pupils to think about how they can take part in this historic occasion through diaries, scrapbooks, films or school celebrations. Overall, it provides a clear and engaging summary of the Queen’s life, reign and legacy. Queen Elizabeth was one of the most famous people in the world.
