Lithophone - Making Music with Stones
« on: March 14, 2016, 03:40:02 PM »
LithophoneWiki is VietnamWiki's oldest percussion instrument and one of the most ancient musical instruments of mankind. This is made of stones with different sizes of long, short, thick or thin.

The only instrument of its kind in the world.... this is a lithophone made from Michigan's State Stone, the Petoskey StoneWiki. The Petoskey stone is a fossilized colony coral from the Devonian Age... 350 million years ago it was a living organism, a hexagonaria percarinata. This single octave diatonic instrument was made by musician and edutainer, Tom Kaufmann.
