Description: What are Good Manners?
Why are they important?

This presentation gives you the answers!

This PowerPoint helps pupils understand good manners as an important part of respectful behaviour in school and everyday life. It explores how manners create positive first impressions, strengthen relationships and contribute to a kind, considerate community. Through humorous examples and cultural comparisons—from handshakes to table manners, tipping and queuing—it shows that manners vary across the world but always serve the same purpose: showing respect. The assembly highlights practical school-based expectations such as polite behaviour in the canteen, playground and on the journey home, and links manners directly to respect and doing the right thing. Overall, it encourages pupils to reflect on how their behaviour affects others and to make conscious choices that demonstrate courtesy and kindness.

Here's a video showing a synopsis of the presentation
