Community helpers,

They are people we rely on,
To help make a great town.
There are doctors,
And nurses,
Firefighters and police,
Emergencies are why we need them,
Any day of the week. There are farmers,
Chefs, and bakers,
Waiter and waitresses,
Feeding people is their job,
They give us food that's good to eat.
There are electricians,
Capenters and plumbers,
On worksites.
They make houses and our buildings,
Safe and sound and build right.
Do you know of any more people,
Who are in your neighbourhood,
Who work together to build a community,
That we live in happily?
The Baker
The baker's truck comes down the street,
Filled with everything good to eat
Two doors the baker opens wide
Now let us look at the shelves inside.
What do you see? What do you see?
Doughnuts and cookies for you and me;
Cinnamon rolls, pies, all so yummy
Wha should I buy to fill my tummy?

Packages, postcards,
Letters to mail!

All over the Earth!
Five Strong Police Officers
Five strong police officers standing by a store.
One went to direct traffic, and then there were four.
Four strong police officers watching over me.
One took home a lost boy, and then there were three.
Three strong police officers dressed all in blue.
One stopped a speeding car, and then there were two.
Two strong police officers how fast they can run.
One stopped a burgler and then there was one.
One strong police officer heard some children say.
We would like to be police officers when we grow up some day.
Five Little Firefighters
Five firefighters sit very still,
Until they see a fire on top of a hill,
Number one rings the bell, ding-dong,
Number two pulls his big boots on,
Number three jumps on the fire engine red,
Number four puts a fire hat on her head,
Number five drives the fire truck to the fire,
As the big yellow flames go higher and higher.
Whoooooo-oooooo! Whoooooo-oooooo!
Hear the fire truck say,
As all of the cars get out of the way.
Shhhhhh goes the water from the fire hose spout,
And quicker than a wink the fire is out!
Carpenter
The carpenter's hammer goes knock, knock, knock,
And his saw goes see, saw, see, saw, see,
He planes and measures
He hammers and he saws
While he build a wooden treasure for me.
