Chain Reaction - Magnets and Marbles
« on: May 20, 2016, 06:19:23 AM »
A great Assembly Starter.

Kapla blocks, marbles, steel ball bearings, a few dominos, sticks, and magnetic neocubes or buckyballs power this incredible series of elegant and surprising Rube GoldbergWiki style chain reactions.

One thing leads to another.
Try to think of the consequences of your actions.

This is mesmerising.
I am going to use this whilst the assembly is gathering. It takes a good 5 minutes for the hall to fill and this will give the first arrivals something to watch whilst they are waiting.
It is so fascinating that I might use it on a regular basis.

It could also be used on the theme of "unexpected consequences" or "planning ahead".
Thanks for the idea.
