How Can We Improve AssemblyTube?
« on: April 24, 2015, 09:28:37 AM »
Hi, can you help?
I would like to involve AssemblyTube members in the development of the website. I want to make the site more interactive. Do you have ideas on how to do this?

What do you like about AssemblyTube?
What do you dislike about AssemblyTube?

What is missing?
What would you like more of?

If you find AssemblyTube useful, please help us to make it more interactive.

You can give quick feedback here or in the chatbox on the left.

Or you can reply to this post.
Or you can start a new topic.

I know you are all very busy Assembly Leaders. Your advice would be really helpful.

Thanks.
Sara

One thought.
Should the site become members only so that you have to always log in to use the site? Or would that stop people using the site altogether? Would a members only site improve interaction? I don't know.

How many people use the site each day? Are they regulars? Are they members? Just wondering.

Good question Raspberry.
Between 1000 and 2000 different people use AssemblyTube every day.
Of these, about 100 every day have used the site before at some point.
You can see how many members log in to visit the site each day from the box bottom left on most pages.

My guess is that quite a few members use the site each day without logging in, so the number of members on here each day is bigger than the number in the box bottom left. It's only a guess though.

If video not working click "report to moderator" & we'll fix it.

What do you think of the "SafeView" and "Download Videos" areas? Have you tried them? Are the instructions clear enough?

I have successfully used the downloads videos section. It has worked well for me. Some users might find it confusing that the name of the video file downloaded is not the same as the name of the video on Youtube.
I appreciate that when you have downloaded your video file you can rename it to whatever you wish.
