The 2021 Model Music Curriculum (MMC) sits at the heart of the Government’s agenda for supporting curriculum music in schools during Key Stages 1, 2 and 3. The curriculum development has been teacher led, with input from leading musicians and education sector bodies.

Are you making use of the DfE Model Music Curriculum in your School Assemblies?

Do you keep a record of what music you have used?

Is it helpful to have this direction from government?

Do you think OFSTED will be asking for details on how your school has made use of this curriculum advice?
